The Scandal of Iraq

Posted by Sal on November 27, 2005

I truly believe that when the history of the first decade of the 21st century is written, that the biggest scandal written about in the history books is the scandal of the media. The media has misreported, misinformed, and actively worked to sabotage the U.S. efforts in Iraq. By painting the picture of a “Quagmire”, “another Vietnam”, the media is giving aid and comfort to the enemy and helping America to lose the war. If the War in Iraq, and the greater War on Terror is lost, it will not be because the terrorists were stronger than us, or outfought us. It will be because the Media and the Democrats fought against the interests of the United States at home.

President Bush has to take this moment and follow the Churchill model instead of the Nixon model. He needs to present a message of courage and of victory, one that will resonate again with the American people. He needs to push the real vision of the war in Iraq, the positive vision that is out there, day after day.

Oliver North has a good column in the Washington Times today on Courage of Leadership and the War in Iraq. The President needs to step up. At the same time, we need to fight those enemies that are Domestic and would see the United States lose this war in order to selfishly regain political power.

How history will write the remainder of this chapter is still open. The outcome is up to us.

End of America?

Posted by Ryan on November 27, 2005

End of America? That’s what the major networks are hoping will sell in 2006. Perhaps it’s part of their ingenious plan to get Dems elected. Gina Davis POTUS and an American epitath seem to not only reflect the views for which they are steroetypically cited, but perhaps their hopes as well. These folks seem a bit out there. Perhaps the tin hats were finally seen at their last beltway party and now they’re just saving face.

Looks like Ann Coulter was right. Liberals really don’t read books.

Socialist Paradise Update

Posted by Ryan on November 27, 2005

I just read this and had to post it. Universal health care has many characteristics that people find appealing, unfortunately “quality” is not one of them. A few years ago, thousands of people died in France from “heat” during the summer. Why? Because August is the month that the doctors go on vacation. Many elderly could not get to a hospital that had “doctors” beyond an RN. Since there is no competition in the health market over there and monetary incentives for good quality care do not exist, people suffer. Electric grids break, people are freezing during the latest cold spell… yet the American Left looks to Europe as the great thing America could be one day!

In his book “Winning the Future,” Newt Gingrich called what Europe is going through “elegant decay.” The Left would like us to join them. Maybe I’m being too hard on our friends on the Left. Perhaps the government should offer Lefties some free health care…
MENTAL health care! I’m sure some pills and therapy might help their delusions, anxiety and angst. We’re truly only looking out for their benefit and well-being.

President Johnson’s AG Defends Saddam Hussein

Posted by Mike on November 27, 2005

Ramsey Clark, Lyndon Johnson’s Attorney General, has decided to defend Saddam Hussein. Of course this is merely the latest in a long line evil dictators receiving assistance from Clark.

How could a man like this ever become Attorney General? Somehow liberals still wonder why the nation refuses to trust them with matters of national security.
