You Know What Really Grinds My Gears

Posted by Ryan on November 30, 2005

Nancy Pelosi is a dumb bitty. 403 to 3 is apparently not clear enough for the San Francisco Treat. She keeps giving and giving. How on God’s Green Earth can any sensible political party put someone like her in front of a camera in lieu of recent events involving Murtha and his ilk?

Hey, this is a welcome development. I WANT the Dems to tell us EXACTLY what they believe as often as they can. Harry Reid did not even let Bush finish before touting talking points that Bush clearly retorted minutes later while still giving his eloquent speech in Annapolis. Is it Christmas yet?

Stuff like this makes me happy that we’re on the right side of the culture wars. GO Dennis Hastert! I smell a Clinton lurking about.

Michelle Malkin turns the tables on liberal intellectual Janeane Garofalo. It’s fun to be a conservative.

Protesters in Colorado

Posted by Mike on November 30, 2005

Protesters gathered outside a fundraiser for Rep. Marilyn Musgrave (R- CO) on Tuesday to protest an appearance by President Bush. The AP claims there were 300 protesters. The Denver Post claims there were 400. Let’s just say this wasn’t a Million Man March. (The Million Man March wasn’t a million man march either but we’ll leave that topic for another day).

These liberals are so amusing when they’re out of power. The Denver Post actually quotes the protesters as chanting “this is what democracy looks like.” Actually moonbats this is what democracy looks like but I digress. The liberals should be proud of this particular protest. In addition to chanting conspiracy theories and comparing President Bush to Hitler, the peaceniks were able to keep their crowd of 300-400 “largely peaceful.” (quote from the AP link) Keeping control of such a small crowd can be quite difficult. But somehow conservatives are able to conduct completely peaceful protests such as the March for Life which regularly draw a crowd conservatively estimated as approximately 200 to 300 times the size of this one. Strange.

I conclude by congratulating the College Republican counter-protesters. That Saddam sign was brilliant. I wonder if the Republicans in attendance were included in the 400?

Some Common Sense Returns to Airports

Posted by Mike on November 30, 2005

Let’s face it. In a post 9/11 world, anyone attempting to wield a box cutter on an airplane would get a little taste of “let’s roll” before they could cause any trouble. This move makes sense.
