Federal Judge Follows Constitution

Circuit Judge Richard Suhrheinrich of the Sixth Circuit: “The ACLU makes repeated reference to the ’separation of church and state.’ This extra-constitutional construct has grown tiresome. The First Amendment does not demand a wall of separation between church and state. Our nation’s history is replete with governmental acknowledgment and in some cases, accommodation of religion.”

This man should be the next nominee to the United States Supreme Court. For the better part of a century, courts have falsely asserted the First Amendment requires a separation of chuch and state. Finally we have a Cicuit Court judge who appears to have read the Constitution. For the record, the First Amendment is printed below in its entirety.

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.”

I can’t find the separation requirement. That’s because it isn’t there.
