Democrats To Give Pre-Buttal to the State of the Union Address

Posted by Mike on January 20, 2006

And another liberal joke has become reality. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Senator No Nickname Needed Durbin are scheduled to give a “pre-buttal” to President Bush’s upcoming State of the Union address.

We conservatives have joked for a while now that liberals do not actually read or listen to anything the President says. For example, President Bush has given many speeches outlining our objectives in Iraq. Yet liberals manage to accuse the President of not having a plan. How can anyone say this with a straight face? How can anyone give a pre-buttal and keep a straight face? Answer: botox and more botox.

I admit it. Seeing this story has brought out the animal lover in me. I’m rooting for the whale to make it back to sea.

More Importantly, 25 Years Ago

Posted by Mike on January 20, 2006

The greatest President of the 20th Century, Ronald Reagan was inaugurated as the 40th President of the United States 25 years ago today. Reagan was the greatest articulator of the virtues of freedom, limited government, lower taxes and confronting evil. Due to Reagan’s leadership, our nation won the Cold War, unleashed a 20-year period of prosperity, and regained our national confidence. Especially admirable about President Reagan is that his goodness matched his greatness.

Happy Anniversary Mr. President

Posted by Mike on January 20, 2006

Happy Anniversay America! Five years ago today, the White House was fumigated, and George W. Bush was sworn in as the 43rd President of the United States. As we all know, the election of 2000 was a close one and almost gave us President Al Gore. We should all take a few moments today to think about what type of President we could have had and thank God we have President Bush leading our nation during this crucial period in our history.

Think about the Clinton era when terrorist acts were considered crimes rather than acts of war. Think about the potential Gore Supreme Court nominees like Alan Dershowitz and Susan Estrich rather than John Roberts and Sam Alito. Think about the Clinton-Gore administration when traditional values were mocked, often under the desk in the Oval Office itself, rather than the man who is as Zell Miller put it “the same man on Saturday night that he is on Sunday morning.”

We as a nation have much to be thankful for on this Fifth Anniversary of President Bush’s inauguration. Happy Anniversary Mr. President!
