“For the Children” Makes a Comeback

Posted by Mike on January 5, 2007

OK. I promise. No more Pelosi posts for a while after this one. I would have posted this yesterday, but I didn’t think any of the videos out there perfectly captured the lunacy, giggles and all. I like this one though.

One of the highlights of GOP dominance over the last six years was that our nation was spared from the liberals’ “for the children” nonsense. If you recall, everything liberals used to propose was “for the children.” Paradoxically, it was nauseating yet entertaining. For whatever its worth, the San Francisco treat just brought it back. Enjoy.

Opposition 101

Posted by Mike on January 5, 2007

It’s understandable if you’re a conservative who can’t figure out how to react to the election of a Democrat Speaker. After all, the last time it happened, Kurt Cobain was alive, O.J. Simpson was that friendly football announcer on NBC, Will Ferrell hadn’t set foot on the set of SNL, and Interleague play was still four years away. Luckily, Ace of Spades found The Little Leftwing Book of Civil Political Discourse, which should tell us how it’s done.
