Voici Quelque Farce Francais

Posted by Mike on April 17, 2007

How do the Socialists in France play politics when they’re losing in every poll except Reuters? By comparing their opponent to all that is right with the world bien sur!

I suppose it’s fair for the French left to attack their opponent as pro-America and pro-Britain. After all, we American conservatives can dish it out too.  Although we have a very different notion of what constitutes an insult.

Chrissy Matthews to Moderate Republican Debate

Posted by Mike on April 17, 2007

The Republican candidates for President are scheduled to meet on May 3 at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in a debate to be moderated by none other than MSNBC’s Chrissy Matthews. One thing the GOP candidates shouldn’t do is act like Democrats by refusing to attend. In fact, I think Chrissy as moderator is a blessing in disguise.

Rabidly anti-everything that is right with the world, Matthews will undoubtedly inject his anti-war bias and other tidbits of conventional “wisdom” into his questioning. However, unlike on Whiffleball, the Republicans will have the opportunity to respond uninterrupted. This is a golden opportunity for the candidates to defend conservative values while exposing Chrissy’s bias for what it is. The candidates who do so are more likely to win my vote.
