Bush ’08?

Listening to the questions and reactions from last nights debate, you’d think that Karl Rove, Dick Cheney and Dubya found some seemy clandestine way to repeal the 22nd Amendment, term-limiting the President to two four-year terms!  I had no idea that last night’s Republican Presidential Candidate Debate was supposed to be about George W. Bush.  Just look at the different takes from the cable MSM:

• Fox News:  “Republican White House Hopefuls Distance Themselves from Bush“
• CNN: “GOP Debaters keep distance from Bush“
• MSDNC: “Iraq Dominiates 3rd GOP Debate:  Bush Draws Criticism for War, Style from Republican White House Hopefuls“

They’re nuts!  As Mike mentioned below, the Libs and Dems are obsessed with defeating Dubya.  Is it a coincidence that bothe Carville and Begala worked Bill Clinton’s campaign, both work for CNN, and both were obsessing about Dubya being name-dropped as Wolf designed questions to do just that?  Self-fulfilling prophesy if I ever saw one!  However, the Republicans nearly all agreed that winning in Iraq is the goal, something the Dems can’t stomach, and something that Bush believes in wholeheartedly.  I guess the headline-guy missed that, and that most of the debate which actually was NOT about Dubya.
