The Wright Side of Obama

Posted by Ryan on March 14, 2008

Sean Hannity has been beating the drum all week on his radio show  as well as his TV show with the pitiful Alan Colmes about the connection between radical Reverend Jeremiah Wright and Barack Obama.  Anyone who listens to Sean knows that the “Stop [She Who Must Not Be Named] Express” has begun to morph into the “Stop Obama Express,” with all the hard-hitting scrutiny that the MSM should be giving Obama.

Well, the Wall Street Journal Online and the Washington Post among others have picked up the story and are running with it.  Obama himself is distancing himself from the radical Wright who has said numerous inflammatory remarks about AIDS, 9/11, white racism in America, and so on.  Wright’s views are appalling and could seriously blemish Obama’s image and campaign as this story could have legs.  Remember that it was in March 2004 when “flip-flopper” came into our political lexicon over that pesky $87 million supplemental package.

Remember that Obama has been in this race for President since February 11, 2007.  It is now March 14, 2008.  Does anyone really believe that if he were a Republican and that Republican had a crazy, radical, anger-filled, racist preacher for the last 20 years that these kinds of connections would have been unvetted in 13 months of a national campaign for commander-in-chief?  Perhaps the MSM is shot itself in the foot by giving Obama a pass for so long.

    In a word No.

Jeremiah Wright’s radical views were no secret. They have been a topic on talk radio for months while there has been a de facto MSM blackout of Barack’s church. It is interesting that Wright’s views were little discussed while Mitt’s church received intense religious scrutiny. To borrow a phrase, it has taken a while for the chickens to come home to roost.

I think the time has come for Obama. I like many thought the bus would come for him a long time ago. Now that the bus is coming, Obama is going to be road kill like most people who oppose the Clintons.

However, Bob, what does the Democrat Party do with Obama if he ultimately falters? He’ll still have more popular votes than SWMNBN, he’ll also have a higher number of pledged delegates, even if he loses every contest due to the Dem structure of proportional delegates. One can see the nuclear obliteration of the Dems if they nominate that woman over Obama. One can hope!

You’re right that those Dems who dare oppose the former first family are marked for a political hit job — if Bill can’t be First Lady, than neither can Michelle. Yet, I think if he comes out of this relatively unscathed, the press will drop it and pronounce Obama suddenly “battle tested” and ready to defeat McCain in the Fall. By then the damage could already have been done. McCain is not Bush; he’ll fight back hard and persistently.

This Democrat uncivil war gets more and more interesting and more and more fun to watch everyday. We knew about this separatist, racist minister a few months ago when he appeared on Hannity and Colmes to make an ass of himself, but now the Drive-bys have had to pick it up.

No matter how much of a crazy this guy is, it will not affect Obama’s “young skulls full of mush” supporters…many of them think Wright is right about America. I can tell you this: SWMNBN is as selfish and power hungry as Algore was in 2000 that she’d say damn the party and damn the rules so she can be president.

We are looking at Chicago 1968 if Obama does not get the nomination…but if the witch does get the nomination, could we be looking at the African-American voting bloc flipping Republican? Maybe, but only if the Republicans are vocal about how the Democrat Party has used and abused them; they must try to correct the revisionist history that has become fact (e.g. Republicans getting the Civil Rights Act passed among others) according to the African-American Community and drive-by media. As we have said before, this election may have a very, very interesting turnout.
